The IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Krainiev Readings”. Problems of Theory and Practice of Forensic Expertise. Information as Evidence and Knowledge in Forensic Expertise: Challenges and Prospects was held on December 12, 2025, at the Research Center for Forensic Expertise in the Field of Information Technologies and Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Andriy Haichenko delivered a welcoming address to the participants. He emphasized the need to develop the Center and research specifically in the field of information technologies and intellectual property, as well as the importance of preserving the tradition of holding the annual scientific and practical conference “Krainiev Readings”.
Dmytro Zhuravlov, Deputy Head of the Citizenship, Pardon and State Awards Department – Head of the Pardon Office of the President of Ukraine, stressed the necessity of developing expert research in the field of IT technologies and their strategic importance in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Nataliia Tkachenko, Director of the Department for Expert Support of Justice of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, highlighted the specifics of the Center’s work as a forensic expert institution of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
Iryna Oliinyk, Deputy Director of the Department for Expert Support of Justice of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine – Head of the Organizational and Managerial Support Division for the Activities of Research Forensic Institutions, drew attention in her welcoming speech to the work of the Center’s experts in countering the aggression of the Russian Federation.
Welcoming addresses were also delivered by heads of forensic expert institutions and organizations.
Acting Director of the Center Hanna Papakina, in her welcoming speech to the participants, emphasized the importance of preserving the traditions established by the founder of the Center, Petro Pavlovych Krainiev, and the significance of the annual conference for the institution’s work.
“We do not plan to stop at what has been achieved and will continue to develop, master new relevant areas of forensic expert activity for the benefit of our Homeland,” noted the head of the Center.
Eighteen scientific reports were presented and discussed at the event, sparking a lively discussion.
