OUR CENTER
The Research Center for Forensic Expertise on Intellectual Property Issues of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the “Center”) was established in Kyiv on December 31, 2004. By Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 984-r “On the Establishment of the Research Center for Forensic Expertise on Intellectual Property Issues” at the proposal of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
The Center’s first director and founding visionary was Petro Krainev.
In March 2012, Igor Starodubov was appointed director of the Center. Currently, the Center is further developing its forensic activities, devising and implementing new forensic methodologies in the field of intellectual property, and refining its valuation practices.
In June 2016, Vladislav Fedorenko was appointed director of the Center. The Center has developed as a research institution; it has introduced an annual international scientific and practical conference titled «Krainevsky Readings» and launched the professional journal «Expert: Paradigms of Legal Sciences and Public Administration».
In November 2022, Serhiy Tyulenev was appointed director of the Center. In 2023, the institution was renamed The Scientific Research Centre for Forensic Science of Information Technologies and Intellectual Property.
In June 2023, Mykhailo Mozhaiev took over as head of the Center. During this period, the Center’s Western Ukrainian Branch began its work, in accordance with Order No. 3667/5 of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine dated October 17, 2023.
On November 17, 2025, Hanna Papakina was appointed acting director of the Center.
