The main tasks of commodity expertise are:
- to determine the value of commercial goods;
- to determine the classification of goods within the categories accepted in the manufacturing and trade sectors;
- to determine the characteristics of the items under examination in accordance with the requirements of the Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity;
- to determine changes in the quality indicators of commercial goods;
- determining the method of production of the goods: industrial or handmade, the manufacturing company, and the country of origin;
- ensuring that the packaging and transport, as well as the storage conditions and shelf life of the goods, comply with the requirements of the applicable regulations.
Indicative list of issues to be addressed:
- What is the cost of research objects both in Ukraine and abroad?
- What is the name and purpose of the goods?
- Do the labeling data correspond to the actual product characteristics of the product?
- Does the quality of the product meet the requirements of standards, technical specifications, and organoleptic indicators of the samples provided?
- What defects does a specific product have? Are these defects significant? Is it possible to sell (operate) the product if the defects are detected?
- What are the conditions for receiving, storing and releasing goods?
- Are the product labeling and packaging correct? Does the labeling and packaging of the product comply with the requirements of regulatory and technical documentation or samples?
- Which company manufactured the product and when (provided that labeling information or relevant accompanying documents are available)?
- What characteristics does the product meet according to the Ukrainian Classifier of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity?
- What is the amount of material damage caused to the property owner as a result of damage to this property (due to fire, flooding, etc.)?
- What is the market value of grain (legumes) as of the date of the contract (current date), taking into account its quality indicators?
