Western Ukraine Branch

About the department

The Western Ukrainian branch was established in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine dated October 17, 2023 No. 3667/5, at the Scientific and Research Center for Forensic Expertise in the Field of Information Technologies and Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

The Western Ukrainian branch in Ivano-Frankivsk was opened in May 2024. The expansion of the extensive network of forensic research institutions through the opening of the Center Branch will contribute to providing the Western Ukrainian region with qualitatively new expert capabilities and improving the activities of the forensic community.

The following types of forensic examinations are conducted in the Western Ukrainian branch:

Handwriting and signature research
Research into the causes and consequences of violations of life safety and occupational health requirements
Research on computer technology and software products
Electronic Communications Research
Research of accounting, tax accounting and reporting documents
Research of documents on the economic activities of enterprises and organizations
Research of documents of financial and credit transactions
Determining the cost of machinery, equipment, raw materials and consumer goods
Determining the value of wheeled vehicles and the amount of damage caused to the vehicle owner
Economic research in the field of intellectual property
Research related to computer programs and data compilations (databases)
